The Intellectual and Developmental Disability Waiver Program (I/DD Waiver)
is a long-term care alternative providing services designed to support and assist
individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities. Locations for
services include members' homes and communities where they reside, work and perform
daily activities as opposed to in a facility. The objective of this program is to
promote choice, independence, participant-direction, respect, and dignity by providing
person-centered services.

they reside, work and perform daily activities as opposed to in a nursing facility.

Personal Care services are medically necessary activities or tasks ordered by a physician, which enable people to meet their needs in their homes rather than on an inpatient or institutional basis. These services are normally provided in the individual's residence except in instances where the individual needs them provided in the workplace in order to obtain and/or retain competitive employment.
